Terms of Use
Last updated: July 2, 2026
The short version
Metronome is free to download and use. One optional one-time purchase — Metronomad Pro — unlocks the advanced rhythm tools: no subscription, no account, no recurring charges. Apple handles all payments, and your data stays on your device. These terms are the plain-English rules for using the app.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By downloading or using Metronome, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.
2. License
Metronome is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). These terms supplement Apple's EULA; if they conflict, Apple's EULA controls. The license lets you use the app on any Apple device you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules.
3. Purchases, restores, and refunds
The app is free, with a single optional in-app purchase: Metronomad Pro ($3.99, or the equivalent in your local currency) — a one-time, non-recurring unlock. There are no subscriptions, no recurring charges, and no ads.
Payment is billed by Apple to your Apple ID. If you reinstall the app or move to a new device, tap Restore Purchases in the app to unlock Pro again at no extra cost. Refunds are handled by Apple, not the developer — you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
4. Your content stays on your device
Custom click sounds you import and the practice data the app records (practice log, streaks, goals, setlists) stay on your device and remain yours. The developer never receives a copy. Please make sure you have the rights to any audio you import. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what is stored and how to delete it.
5. Acceptable use
Use Metronome as it is intended: as a metronome and practice tool. Don't copy, resell, or redistribute the app or its bundled sounds outside what Apple's EULA allows, don't attempt to bypass the Pro unlock, and don't use the app in any way that breaks the law.
6. No warranty
Metronome is provided "as is". We work hard on timing accuracy and stability, but we cannot promise the app will always be error-free, and we make no warranties beyond those required by law.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, and total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not fully apply to you.
8. Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a meaningful way, the "Last updated" date at the top will be revised. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
